Foster's career path soared in the 1980's as he produced and wrote an extraordinary lineup of No. 1 singles, including Chicago's "Hard To Say I'm Sorry," Peter Cetera's "The Glory of Love," and John Parr's "Man in Motion" (St. Elmo's Fire soundtrack).
