        <p><b>Adios Is As Close As Love Ever Was</b> (song#6023)
</p>
<p>
It&#8217;s as if you&#8217;ve gone away though you&#8217;re still here
<br />
An old flame is on your mind instead of us
<br />
I’ll be going to old Mexico, my dear
<br />
Adios is as close as love ever was
</p>
<p>
There were times when you meant everything to me
<br />
Then you changed your mind without reason or cause
<br />
Sounds strange but now it’s old Mexico I’ll see
<br />
Adios is as close as love ever was
</p>
<p>
(instrumental)
</p>
<p>
Love can’t live where two are all alone
<br />
Who can give when living is a lie
<br />
Goodbye comes at the end of love songs
<br />
Adios in Mexico still means goodbye
</p>
<p>
My darling, it still seems like a bad old dream
<br />
And I may write to you when I’m in La Paz
<br />
Now I’ll say goodbye to love I’ve never seen
<br />
Adios is as close as love ever was
<br />
Adios is as close as your love for me ever was
</p>
